our roots
I’ve always loved colour. Pattern.
There is something magical about he play of light on glass. It’s ever changing. You see through the glass. Seeing things in a differnt light. The glass looks different, depending on the light, the surrounding objecgts. It has its own fludiity. It lives.
Creating glass objects, art that can be enjoyed in so many ways, is a true pleasure. A privilege.
Each piece of glass carefully selected, cut, placed and then fused. Defferent temperatutes achieving different results. Multiple firings, each one appoximately 24 hours, to complete the piece.
It was at a craft fair, over 20 years ago. A beautiful piece hung on the wall of the tent, the summer sun dancing off it, dancing throgh it, bringing the colours to life with such intensity, such joy, such life. At that moment I knew this was somethng for me.
Now that I have the oppotunity to have my own studio, I love to share the joy of glass. Whether through workshops or creating bespoke pieces, each piece is made with love.
